Hello Wondering Reader,

I want to talk about something that we all need in the world right now, and believe it or not that is, Love. Love can come in all forms, it can sweep you off your feet, give your strength to care for others, and ultimately lead you from this world. It is the most powerful thing in the world next to Hope. But in a world were toxicity and abuse thrive how can love show its way.

See there are three kinds of love: Agape, Eros, and Philos. Eros is a physical type of love the kind of love you find in a lover. Philos is friendship love. But, Agape this is a type of love like no other it requires sacrifice and is unconditional. I Have always tried to love people in a way that I would want to be loved and taken care of. It didn’t matter if it was a homeless person on a street or someone who has everything in the world. See, in the United States I believe we have experienced this, all of us. So here is my example;

On September 11, 2001, The United States faced a tragedy like no other. People all over the world watched as the Twin Towers in New York city was struck by a terrorist attack. We watched regular everyday people jump from the towers. We watched other New York citizens try to go through the rubble to find survivors. We watched on public television send in rescue dogs. Everyone on that day was scared, frightened, and in shock. But as a nation we came together we put our differences aside and looked toward one another, checked in with one another, because our nation had never faced such an event. But the day after, September 12, 2001, It was the first time instead of a country fighting and bickering at the other side we stood on one line and overcame our differences to understand one another, in order to get through this, we would need love and strength. Our Hearts broke listening to the phone calls of the loved ones stuck on those plans saying goodbye to the people they loved. It changed the nation as a whole and it changed the world. Because all of us grieved together and showed love and support together.

I believe it is simple, we all have choices in this life you can focus on the bitterness the constant glass empty point of view; but you will never be truly happy because you continually focus on the negative. I am not saying you don’t have rough days, but I am saying is that sometimes it takes sacrifice to make relationships work. Any relationship. No one on the face of this planet is perfect, I definitely know this I’m not perfect by a long shot. But I know that when I meet someone, they have faced their own story, their own path, their own mistakes, and their own trauma. It is easier to throw around labels, but it is harder to look in the mirror and choose to be a better person and to Love rather than Hate. But when you figure out how to do that you find peace in yourself and peace with others around you. Find what brings Love.

Always,
